Why The Card Spa

Built for collectors who grade seriously.

Fully Insured Submissions

Every card is covered from the moment it arrives through final delivery. Your high-value vintage and modern hits are never at risk.

Honest Pre-Grade Assessments

We evaluate centering, surface integrity, and corner sharpness under professional magnification — then tell you the truth. We'd rather save you a wasted fee than take your money on a card that won't land a 10.

Multi-Company Expertise

PSA for maximum resale liquidity. SGC Tuxedo for vintage presentation. We help you choose the right grading company for each card's characteristics and your goals.

Real-Time Slab Tracking

No more calling the grading facility. Our Slab Tracker gives you real-time visibility into every submission — from received to graded to shipped.

Questions

Frequently asked.

What's the difference between PSA Value and Express?

PSA Value is the most cost-effective tier — ideal for modern base cards, mid-range rookies, and bulk submissions. Turnaround is typically 45–65 business days. PSA Express is significantly faster (5–10 days) and intended for high-value cards where timing affects resale price — auction deadlines, market peaks, or cards in active demand. Use the comparison table above to match your card's value and timeline to the right tier.

How should I package my cards for shipment?

Place each card in a penny sleeve, then inside a Card Saver I semi-rigid holder. Stack and rubber-band your cards, sandwich between two pieces of oversized cardboard, and ship in a bubble mailer or small box with tracking. Do not send cards in top-loaders or screw-down holders— extraction risks damage and causes processing delays. When in doubt, book a consultation and we'll walk you through it.

What if my card arrives damaged or gets a lower grade than expected?

Every submission is fully insured from arrival through return delivery. If a card arrives damaged in transit, we document it immediately and file the claim on your behalf. If you receive a grade lower than expected, our Raw Card Review service exists specifically to prevent this — we'll assess centering, surface, and corners before submission so there are no surprises.

Can I resubmit a card I'm unhappy with?

Yes. Our Graded Card Review service evaluates existing slabs for resubmission potential. We'll crack the case, assess whether resubmission is likely to improve the grade, and advise on whether the economics make sense. We won't recommend a costly resubmission if the probability of improvement doesn't justify the fees.

Is it worth grading my card?

Not every card justifies the submission cost. A Raw Card Review ($5/card) is the fastest way to find out — we assess centering, surface integrity, corners, and edges under magnification and give you a realistic expected grade range. If the graded value minus submission fees doesn't beat the raw market value, we'll tell you honestly.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

Yes — PSA Value Bulk and Quick Prep Bulk Pricing are specifically designed for volume submissions. For larger collections (50+ cards), book a consultation so we can review your cards and build a custom pricing structure. Volume collectors get priority scheduling and dedicated handling throughout the process.
